The Seven of Pentacles asks that you think about the long-term when investing your energy. Although quick short-term gains may be had, in the end, they will not last; only through hard work and planning will you discover lasting benefit to your work.

When the Seven of Pentacles appears reversed, it may be a sign that despite the amount of hard work and energy you are putting into a project the result may not be what you expected. This is a time to trust your intuition and cut your losses if you are not comfortable with the rate of return your investment has yielded.
