The Crow Tarot

Welcome to the website for my first Tarot deck, the Crow Tarot!
Being my first deck, the Crow Tarot holds a special place in my heart as it was the project that brought me into alignment with my purpose.
Within this deck of 78 cards there is energy. It is the energy of standing still in a field as hundreds of crows thunder overhead. It also holds the energy of the creator the artwork and my desire to offer not only a beautiful collection of cards but also a tool that will serve you for years to come.
Beware of fake or counterfeited decks - they are all over Temu, Etsy and Ebay. These decks only benefit those who stole my artwork - please do not buy them! How to know your deck is legit? Real decks published by US Games come in a two piece box and includes a printed guidebook.

Curious how I actually make my art?
I get this question a lot; usually followed by, “Is this AI?” Absolutely not. Never has been, never will be. The Crow Tarot was created before AI even existed.
I build everything in Photoshop the same way I have been creating art for over 25 years: with my own photos or licensed stock images, and a whole lot of drawing on my Wacom tablet. I use filters like Oil Paint or Glow the same way a musician might use a synthesizer to alter sound. Some artists play acoustic guitar; others plug into an electric with distortion. Same musician, same hands, just a different sound. Remember those Casio keyboards that could make one key sound like a violin or an organ and add a drum beat? Same idea. It’s still the musician playing. It’s still me making the art. The tech just expands the toolbox.
It’s digital collage, illustration, and hand-drawn work on a computer; but human-made, start to finish. Living on San Juan Island there are so many opportunities to capture incredible skies, or a scene that works perfectly for a card I am working on. For example, The Waves card from my Wandering Witch started as a picture of the Cattle Point Light House and that's Siobhan our resident fox on the Moss card. It is my love for the world around me that I put into each card, it creates the foundation for every piece I create and I just don't think you get that same energy with AI.
